Sustainability
Designing for sustainability
Our commitment to nature spans the entire product life cycle, from selecting suppliers with established environmental management systems, to implementing policies that reduce waste and packaging, to developing an efficient circular recycling system.
A responsible growth model
FONOlab integrates environmental, social & governance (ESG) principles into its business model. Strategic, design, and organizational choices are oriented towards responsible, measurable, and long-term growth.
For us, sustainability is not an abstract concept, but a set of concrete actions that involve products, people, processes, and the territory.
Environmental responsibility guides our design method.
FONOlab sound-absorbing systems are developed with the entire product life cycle in mind, from raw material to end-of-life.
- An entirely Italian short supply chain, to reduce the impact of transport and ensure traceability;
- We mainly use recycled, recyclable, and disassembled materials;
- We have reduced waste and defined a responsible waste management;
- Our design focuses on durability, maintenance, and efficient replacement.
Some product lines have undergone a life cycle assessment (LCA) and are equipped with an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), ensuring the transparency and reliability of environmental information.
Our panels comply with building rules and the REACH regulation and are Class A+ for VOC emissions, contributing to the protection of indoor air quality.
Our company value comes from people.
Therefore, FONOlab promotes an organization based on trust, responsibility, and a focus on quality of working life.
- A young, multidisciplinary team with integrated technical and design skills;
- An inclusive and multicultural work environment;
- A strong focus on gender equality and equal opportunities;
- An organizational flexibility and smart working policies;
- A welfare system focused on well-being and work-life balance.
We invest in professional growth, cooperation, and a digital and adaptable organizational model that responds to changes and supports innovation.
For us, social responsibility is an active commitment to the community.
Over time, we have realized targeted interventions consistent with our values, including:
- Donations of sound-absorbing panels to schools to enhance the comfort of learning spaces;
- Solidarity projects and gifts in support of charitable associations;
- Creative reuse of waste materials through partnerships with volunteer organizations;
- Donation of a defibrillator to support public health and safety.
Effective actions, intended to generate a real impact.
FONOlab adopts a governance system founded on organizational clarity, accountability, and transparency to all stakeholders.
- Integrated structure between sales, operations, and production;
- Constant investments in research & development;
- Formalized corporate policies;
- Attention to regulatory compliance and process management.
Governance is an essential tool for ensuring robustness, reliability, and continuity over time.
A look into the future
Our ESG path is endlessly evolving.
We measure the impact of our activities and develop solutions that are increasingly sustainable, high-performance, and focused on people’s well-being.
The design of acoustics involves considering the care of spaces, the people living in them, and the surrounding environment.
Certified well-being
Our panels are certified for fire resistance,
sound absorption, and volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions by the ACCREDIA-accredited CSI Certification Center.
Acoustic solutions compliant with international standards.
The use of recyclable materials, the high percentage of recycled content, and low VOC emissions allow them to be recognized for LEED and WELL certification purposes. Compliance with Minimum Environmental Criteria (CAM) also guarantees suitability for applications in public sector projects and public administration procurement.
